Leading IT online shop operator in Switzerland orders MLS

Brack Electronics AG, headquartered in Mägenwil (Switzerland) has entrusted viastore systems with installing a mini-load system (MLS) as a general contractor. The company operates one of the leading IT online shops in Switzerland. With the MLS, Brack expects to further enhance its own order picking efficiency. viastore will install four aisles including viaspeed storage/retrieval machines with double-deep lateral belt transfer in a building in the neighboring town of Birr. Also included in the scope of supply will be the racking and conveyor systems as well as sprinklers and containers.

The new system will run under the viad@tWMS warehouse management system which will be connected to the existing host system. The material flow and conveyor system controls as well as the system visualization will also be supplied by viastore. The new MLS will ensure that Brack is well equipped for the challenges of the future. A mechanical loop performance of 1,800 containers per hour is planned for the beginning. The system is scheduled to go live in the spring of 2010.
