Plumbing wholesaler M. Bach relies on improved processes
Premiere for viad@tWMS 7.0Successful premiere for the new viad@t system: According to schedule, the first ever viad@tWMS-7.0 went live at plumbing and heating equipment wholesaler M. Bach GmbH in Eschweiler, Germany. "The profound further development of our software has enabled a smooth integration," emphasizes Dr. Martin Krebs, Head of Development at viastore. "And of course we thoroughly planned the project and conducted comprehensive tests. The reconfigured database structure and the straightforward software design have facilitated our work." The fundamentally revised business processes at the packing stations and in shipping have also proved their worth in operation. The project involved all the important demands for a premiere. In addition to automatic warehouse areas and various radio-controlled manual storage areas, these also included the integration of a comprehensive replenishment logic. Project-specific complex individual procedures were implemented in goods receipt and goods issue, in particular the reconciling of orders as well as truck disposition and loading scans including the integration of externally picked goods. The nine-year-old material flow control system was coupled to the viad@t 7.0 WMS without any problems via the new interface converter.
