viastore USA was named a top integrator for Hytrol, landing among Top 6 distributors in shortest time of any Hytrol distributor.

viastore increasing focus on software offerings for warehouse execution with the most recent release of Warehouse Management (WMS) and Warehouse Control (WCS), as products come together to offer the power of delivery in a Warehouse Execution Solution, enabling intelligent control of people, equipment, goods and systems for supply chain optimization.

2013

After more than 40 years in intralogistics, viastore Managing Partner Christoph Hahn-Woernle retired at the end of March. His son Philipp Hahn-Woernle and Frank Apel head the company as Managing Directors.

In the new MLS of MENNEKES Elektrotechnik Sachsen GmbH, viastore implemented SAP EWM as the warehouse management system and SAP EWM-MFS as the material flow system. The mini-load system features more than 10,000 container storage locations and is operated using the high-performance storage/retrieval system viaspeed.

Since March 2013, viastore SYSTEMS has been a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). The goal is to develop and implement quality procedures and measures to ensure high quality standards for products and services.

2012

viastore SYSTEMS was awarded a case sequencing and palletizing system by JBS, the largest animal protein processor in the world.

2010

viastore USA introduces HPPS - High Performance Picking System to the North American market. HPPS is an automated solution allowing orders to be picked very quickly, efficiently and ergonomically. Up to 40 percent more efficiency can be achieved by fully automated storage container handling, due to the reduced strain on employees with an ergonomic position for picking storage containers of goods and by short reach.  In addition, up to 70 percent of storage space may be saved compared to manual systems. Behind the picking system is the integrated, fully automated buffer replenishment, the distribution of picking on several levels, and ultimately eliminating the supply and disposal routes for stock, commodity and picked empty containers.

viastore USA receives an order from the Spanish pharmaceutical company Grifols for the supply of an automatic cold store. It is installed in a logistics center operated by the blood plasma derivatives manufacturer in San Marcos (Texas).

viastore couples the SAP ERP system directly to two Kardex XPlus shuttles in the production warehouses of compressor manufacturer Kaeser Kompressoren in Coburg. SAP handles the inventory and storage location management.

viastore USA becomes a Hytrol conveyor distributor.

viastore builds a five-aisle MLS for HDE-Logistik GmbH at the port of Bamberg (video examples). The systems incorporated into the 9,000 m² building include five viaspeed S/R machines, the viadatWMS Warehouse Management System, the viadatMFC material flow controller and the conveyor equipment complete with viadatVISU visualization system.

A viastore temperature-controlled single-aisle double-deep MLS enables test equipment to be calibrated fully automatically at Metrologie Service-Basis GmbH. The mini-load system operates using a viaspeed S/R machine. The system is controlled by the viadat Warehouse Management Software.

2009

viastore receives a large order for the delivery of 15 storage and retrieval machines for the new logistics center of the US food producer Cargill Meat Solutions at Schuyler (Nebraska).

2008

In May, viastore acquires Blesco, an American company based in Grand Rapids (Michigan). Blesco provides system integration solutions for distribution centers and manufacturing facilities. The company also has design and manufacturing capabilities to handle special customer applications. With this acquisition, viastore expands its position in the American market.

2004

Gordon Food Service selected viastore SYSTEMS to provide the automated inbound material handling system for its new distribution center in Shepardsville, Kentucky.

viastore SYSTEMS receives order from Ikea for the construction of four AS/RS facilities in Germany, Spain and the United States. The warehouses are equipped with 14 S/R machines each and offer storage locations for more than 80,000 pallets.

2003

viastore SYSTEMS introduces its new Stationary Sequence Buffer to the North American automated material handling market.

Modern Materials Handling magazine ranks viastore SYSTEMS as one of “The World’s Top 20 Systems Suppliers” for 2002.

2001

viastore SYSTEMS Inc. completes a major retrofit of Rittal Corporation’s new Manufacturing and Distribution Center in Urbana, Ohio, including modifications to the rack-supported structure, upgrades of the S/R machine controls and replacement of the existing conveyor system including the installation of a high-speed shuttle car.

Sale of the Haushahn Group to Schindler, 100% takeover of C. Haushahn Automationssysteme GmbH & Co. KG by managing director Christoph Hahn-Woernle.

Company name changed to viastore systems GmbH.
