viastore optimizes Rösle's warehouse structure

Automatic small parts warehouse for pots, kitchen aids and much more

News from the Allgäu region: Rösle, the renowned manufacturer of cookware, kitchen utensils and grills, has commissioned the intralogistics specialist viastore for its intralogistics reorganization project at its headquarters in Marktoberdorf, Germany. The goal here is to combine several warehouses into one.

Established in 1888, the family-owned company supplies amateur and professional chefs around the world. This investment allows Rösle to match its intralogistics concept to its high standards. With this specialist support, the company will optimize the internal warehouse structure for its range of household products. Given positive collaborations in the past, the choice of a suitable project partner went to viastore. The intralogistics expert will implement a two-aisle automated small parts warehouse (MLS) and a manual pallet warehouse in Rösle's new building. This combination will make ideal use of the limited space and the low hall height.

Using state-of-the-art technology, Rösle can significantly shorten distances in the pallet warehouse and, at the same time, increase throughput in the small parts area. Software-controlled processes reduce product handling errors during picking and packing, and the automatic labeler ensures fully automated labeling for courier, express, and parcel (CEP) shipping orders. This is controlled by the viadat Warehouse Management System (WMS) from viastore. It manages the warehouse and controls all processes. It also optimizes the entire warehouse and order processing management, while providing interfaces to all common ERP systems.
