Thomas Hibinger new COO of viastore SYSTEMS
Thomas Hibinger has been the new COO of the intralogistics expert viastore SYSTEMS in Stuttgart since May 2020. The 41-year-old mechanical engineer will lead the system integrator's operational business internationally and will be responsible for sales, implementation, service and the manufacture of storage and retrieval machines. So far, Hibinger was COO of thyssenkrupp System Engineering. "We are very happy that we are able to welcome such a professional in international plant engineering", says Philipp Hahn-Woernle, CEO of the viastore GROUP. "With his responsive nature, he suits us very well."
Thomas Hibinger, married and the father of three children, started his career at the plant engineering company Eisenmann 16 years ago after studying mechanical engineering with a focus on production technology at the Technical College of Karlsruhe. At Eisenmann, he held various positions, including such in the USA and China, and then headed global project management in the automotive sector, and was finally responsible for international sales in this area as Vice President Sales, before he joined thyssenkrupp System Engineering as COO. His goal is to align viastore SYSTEMS even more to the needs of their international customers and to increase the competitive advantage of customers through efficient material flows in logistics and production. "At viastore, as a family-run company, the conditions are excellent: short decision-making processes, you can make a difference here, and the team has enormous know-how," explains Hibinger.
